Securing a home in Final Fantasy 14 requires participation in its lottery system.
The housing lottery in FFXIV operates on a cycle. First, there are five days designated as the “entry period,” when you can place your bid on a property. Then, a four-day “results period” follows. If you’re fortunate enough to win, you must finalize the purchase during the results period. Neglecting to claim your win within this timeframe means losing the plot and forfeiting 50% of your initial deposit.
You can easily track the current housing schedule within the game. Simply open the Timers menu and select the housing tab.
To assist with your planning, here’s the FFXIV housing schedule for August 2025. Please note that this schedule does not account for potential server maintenance. It’s wise to submit your bid or claim your house a day or so in advance to avoid any disruptions.

These periods transition at the server reset time. Refer to the times below according to your specific time zone:
- 8 a.m. PDT for players on the west coast of North America.
- 11 a.m. EDT for players on the east coast of North America.
- 4 p.m. BST for players in the U.K.
- 5 p.m. CEST for players in western Europe, including Paris.
- 12 a.m. JST (the following day) for players in Japan, including Tokyo.
- 1 a.m. AEST (the following day) for players in Australia, including Sydney.
