The online servers for FromSoftware’s hit game,
Elden Ring Nightreign, are back online! This follows a three-hour period of scheduled
maintenance earlier today. The server downtime allowed the development
team to implement the latest game update, version 1.01.3, which is now
available for download on all supported gaming platforms.
Patch 1.01.3 represents a relatively minor update and comes just over a
week after the release of version
1.01.2. Considering the incremental version number, players should anticipate
mostly smaller tweaks, though some included fixes stand out as noteworthy.
The newly released Nightreign update largely consists of resolved bugs and
glitches. However, the patch also includes a subtle adjustment to the game’s
balance. Specifically, the update increases the probability of players
encountering weapons imbued with the Madness status effect within the game’s
loot system.
The Madness status is not often utilized by players and is among the less
effective elements against Nightlord bosses in the game. Except when
fighting
Equilibrious Beast Libra, who is somewhat weak to it. This adjustment will very likely make
acquiring madness weapons a bit easier. FromSoftware probably wants players
to have a more frequent experience utilizing Madness-infused weapons in order
to somewhat mitigate the difficulty level of this particular combat
encounter.
Regarding bug fixes, one notable correction addresses a curious problem: the
damage inflicted upon certain enemies by exploiting their weak points. This
issue related to the damage being much more or less than what the user
intended when using
Ironeye’s
Marking skill depending on the factors.
One favorable flaw for users effectively eliminated any Lightning related
damage when “Power of the Great Ancient Dragon” was active, which is the
passive effect obtained from wielding the Bolt of Gransax weapon.
