August 2025 brings both departures and arrivals for Xbox Game Pass members. While a trio of games will be removed from the service in mid-August, including one potential heartbreaker, the good news is that new titles are being added to the mix. One game is available now, and another exciting addition is on the horizon.
Xbox Game Pass frequently updates its library with a blend of fresh releases and established favorites, often offering day-one access. Therefore, the rotation of titles in and out of the service is a standard occurrence. If you’re particularly fond of any of the departing games, it might be wise to purchase them while they’re still available.
Farewell to Persona 3 Reload and Two Others on Xbox Game Pass This August
According to the latest Xbox Game Pass listings, the following games will be unavailable to play through the service starting August 15, 2025:
- Persona 3 Reload
- Farming Simulator 22
- Anthem
Fortunately, if you act fast, you can purchase Persona 3 Reload, considered one of the finest JRPGs available, and Farming Simulator 22 with a 20% discount while they remain on Game Pass, until August 15th. As for Anthem, time is of the essence to experience it through Game Pass while you still can.
It’s worth noting that Anthem’s departure extends beyond Xbox Game Pass, as it’s also being removed from EA Play. As stated in EA’s official announcement, Anthem will be officially sunsetted on January 12, 2026. However, if you already own the game digitally, you can continue playing it until that date. New in-game currency purchases are disabled, but existing currency can still be used.
On a brighter note, Farming Simulator 25 has already arrived and is playable on both PC and consoles. Consider checking out Grounded 2 or Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, two notable releases from last month featured in the “Recently Added” section.
Looking ahead, Gears of War: Reloaded is confirmed as an upcoming addition for the remainder of the month. While this is the only confirmed title so far, keep an eye out for potential announcements of more games from Xbox in the coming days.
