For nearly five years, gamers have been stepping into the shoes of paranormal investigators in Phasmophobia. Now, Kinetic Games, the minds behind the ghostly title, are preparing to unleash players onto a brand-new hunting ground: Nell’s Diner.

As the name suggests, Nell’s Diner is a classic American eatery, a bit past its prime. The living can enjoy booth seating and counter service, while spectral residents’ kitchen habits likely violate every health code imaginable. The diner’s footprint will be comparable to the size of the existing residential maps already available in the game.

Phasmophobia’s new map is giving us some Twin Peaks vibes.

While the official opening of Nell’s Diner is slated for later this year, Kinetic Games has revealed that the highly anticipated makeover of the Grafton Farmhouse map will be arriving in Phasmophobia on August 12th.

The reimagined Grafton Farmhouse has undergone a complete transformation, showcasing “newly themed rooms” like a spooky attic and a seamstress’s workshop. It seems even more daunting than Nell’s Diner, with the accompanying image suggesting a truly unsettling experience.

“Nell’s Diner, along with the revamped Farmhouse, are crucial elements in our goal to heighten the horror within Phasmophobia. I’m thrilled for our community to dive in and experience them firsthand,” expressed Daniel Knight, Phasmophobia’s lead director. “Our talented art team has been working relentlessly on the upcoming content, and the Diner map, in particular, is one of the most distinctive maps we’ve introduced to date. We’re keeping some secrets, but be prepared for plenty of surprises.”

Previously, Knight hinted that Phasmophobia is set to launch version 1.0 next year. While details remain scarce, Knight has stated, “We’re essentially rebuilding the entire horror aspect of the game, meaning substantial changes are coming.” The game’s Chronicle update recently brought improvements for documenting paranormal encounters. Furthermore, a Phasmophobia movie is being developed by Blumhouse, promising to bring the scares to the big screen.
