“Music LEGO Engine” Project Unveiled: Merging Music Rights with AI, Blockchain, and Real-World Assets
KUKE Music, a prominent provider of streaming and licensing solutions focused on classical music, is blending musical tradition with cutting-edge technologies like AI, NFTs, and blockchain. The company has recently announced a collaboration with Naxos Music Group, a major independent classical music label boasting a catalog of over three million recordings and operations in over one hundred nations.
This collaboration is designed to reshape the classical music landscape by incorporating Real World Assets (RWA), blockchain technology, and Artificial Intelligence through the launch of a project called “Music LEGO Engine.”
The core concept involves breaking down music copyrights into smaller, standardized, and licensable units, similar to LEGO bricks. These components could include aspects like melody, arrangement, instrumentation, and style.
These modular pieces are intended to serve as building blocks for blockchain-based copyright management, AI-powered music creation, and analytical tools.
The initiative’s wider aim is to facilitate AI training utilizing the modular classical content, streamline rights management through blockchain solutions, and enable the global monetization of music assets, encompassing RWA tokenization and NFT trading.
Driving “Music LEGO Engine” is the Naxos Music Platform (NMP), a blockchain-based network specifically designed to support the licensing, valuation, and fractional ownership of modular music assets, aiming to create a sustainable environment for creators and rightsholders alike.
The venture also plans to introduce AI-driven tools for both independent musicians and businesses, provide fan-focused NFT experiences, and establish an open platform for creators.
Looking ahead, the project intends to expand into areas such as AI-supported orchestration, copyright token staking and lending platforms, and the compliant monetization of modular assets under an RWA framework.
According to the official statement, “Under this agreement, Naxos will use its vast content library and support structure to assist KUKE Music’s research into blockchain, AI and Real World Assets (RWA) innovations within the domain of classical music. The foundation of this partnership is the development of a blockchain and AI-driven ‘Music LEGO Engine’, with the goal of completely transforming how musical content is made, verified, applied, and valued.”
