The buzz around inZOI is back, following a period of quiet and some earlier update delays. The developers of the life simulation game have now announced the arrival date for their upcoming update.

Originally planned for May, the update was pushed back, but just a few days ago, a firm release date in June was confirmed. Version v0.2.0 is launching today, accompanied by a promotional discount for those who haven’t yet tried the game.

This marks the first time inZOI has been discounted since its launch in March. It’s part of a larger promotional event by its publisher, Krafton, which is running its inaugural publisher sale on Steam. A total of 17 games from Krafton’s selection are being offered at discounted prices from now until Thursday, June 26.

Discount percentages vary, and in the case of inZOI, the reduction is a modest 10% off. Given that the game is still in Early Access and wasn’t priced like a top-tier AAA title to begin with, a larger discount of 20-30% wasn’t expected – at least not at this stage.

The latest patch for inZOI introduces official modding capabilities via the ModKit, enables same-sex relationships, allows Zois to have and adopt children, and incorporates several other enhancements.

The life simulation genre and alternatives to The Sims are also making headlines. Paralives, a highly anticipated game similar to The Sims that’s been in development for a long time, recently announced the early access launch date on Steam. The Sims 4 itself revealed the initial trailer for Enchanted by Nature, the game’s next expansion pack scheduled for release in July.
