Infinity Nikki, the eye-catching dress-up adventure set in a vast open world and launched at the tail end of last year, is set to expand its horizons with fresh content. A significant update arrives this Friday, June 13th, marking the start of a brand-new seasonal experience.
“The Playful Season” completely revamps the game’s central city and delivers a wealth of additions, including narrative extensions, stylish new costumes, brain-teasing puzzles, entertaining mini-games, and much more.
In “The Playful Season” (Version 1.6), the main characters, Nikki and her companion Momo, find themselves transformed into fairies after a chance encounter with a fledgling fairy apprentice burdened by a curse. To break the enchantment, they embark on a journey through a storybook-esque landscape, filled with exciting new challenges.
At the heart of this expansion are three brand-new, interactive points of interest. One is a scenic sky path, perfect for capturing stunning photographs while floating through the air. Another is a pumpkin-shaped ride featuring elevated, winding tracks. Finally, there’s an oversized chicken trampoline that produces unique sounds depending on where you bounce.
This update will also put your problem-solving skills to the test with a series of seven intriguing maze challenges. The objective in each maze is simple: locate the hidden petrified animals to unlock the path forward.
“The Playful Season” introduces five new outfits that grant special abilities. The “Enchanted Encounter” is a highly coveted five-star outfit that causes nearby creatures to float. There are also two four-star outfits: the “Comic-Style Prince Outfit” and the “Cloud-Summoning Outfit.” Furthermore, two limited-edition outfits from past seasons will be making a comeback, one rated five-star and the other four-star.
In terms of decorative additions, players will discover a new rocking horse for Nikki to enjoy, as well as a potion cauldron that produces trails of colorful smoke based on the ingredients used. While this all sounds promising, the question remains whether it will be enough to satisfy players, as the game currently has a Mostly Negative overall Steam review rating, suggesting that significant improvements are needed.
