Get ready for an immersive basketball experience! 2K and Visual Concepts have just unveiled a fresh trailer showcasing “Out of Bounds,” the story-rich MyCareer mode in the highly anticipated NBA 2K26.

The trailer’s narration comes courtesy of the iconic Spike Lee, the creative mind behind the acclaimed NBA 2K16 narrative. It charts your player’s journey, from dominating high school games and nervously awaiting the Draft results with family, to surprisingly landing a spot on the Golden State Warriors. Keep an eye out for cameos from NBA stars like Cade Cunningham and Tyrese Maxey!

According to 2K, this year’s MyCareer offers a colossal amount of content, equivalent to “five full-length films worth of storytelling.” But will it be a lengthy, involved story or a shorter burst of action, as players’ choices and on-court performances shape a variety of unique endings.

In addition to the MyCareer hype, there’s exciting news for MyNBA and MyGM fans. For the first time ever, MyNBA introduces the option to create custom Online Playoffs. This much-requested feature allows you to act as bracket commissioner, seeding the top 16 teams and inviting 15 friends or other online gamers to compete for championship glory in an intensely competitive online mode.

For aspiring GMs, the MyGM mode now offers shorter, more focused gameplay scenarios with “30 unique MyGM situations” set during the offseason. Players will be challenged to successfully navigate the NBA Draft, revitalize aging rosters, or build upon an existing foundation to create a future dynasty.

Earlier this year, 2K announced that NBA and WNBA stars will share the court in NBA 2K26’s MyTeam mode. Both male and female athletes will have access to the same attributes and badges, creating exciting new team combinations.

Mark your calendars! NBA 2K26 arrives on September 5th for PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC platforms. Players who pre-order the Superstar or Leave No Doubt editions will receive 7-day early access, beginning on August 29th.
