    Google Bets Big on Bitcoin: TeraWulf Investment

                                <p>Google has significantly increased its ownership in TeraWulf, a prominent Bitcoin mining firm, now holding a 14% stake. This increase stems from expanding financial commitments related to a prior <a href="https://forklog.com/en/news/terawulf-and-fluidstack-launch-ambitious-ai-project-with-googles-backing">agreement</a> between TeraWulf and Fluidstack, a cloud-based AI platform.</p>

    The initial guarantee from the technology giant was $1.8 billion. However, subsequent details revealed that this figure had grown to $3.2 billion. In exchange, Google secured options to purchase 73 million TeraWulf shares, which equates to a 14% ownership of the company’s equity.

However, the company believes that artificial intelligence and high-performance computing represent a more substantial growth opportunity in the future.

    The agreement forged with Fluidstack is projected to generate $6.7 billion in revenue for TeraWulf. This figure could potentially rise to $16 billion if the lease agreement is extended.

    Over the preceding week, TeraWulf’s stock experienced a surge of 73.7%, reaching a peak of $10.57. Trading concluded on August 18 with the stock price settling at $9.38.

    Previously, in March, CoreWeave, an AI startup with a background in cryptocurrency mining, entered into a collaboration agreement with OpenAI valued at up to $11.9 billion.
