Starting today, the CoinGecko API provides direct access to on-chain data from decentralized exchanges (DEXs). Crypto developers, projects, and users can now utilize a single, powerful API to obtain crypto prices, market stats, metadata, and also on-chain token and liquidity pool information, even for cryptocurrencies not officially listed on CoinGecko.
Expanded Data Coverage: 20 New Access Points
This on-chain data expansion significantly enriches the CoinGecko API’s capabilities. It extends the coverage to an impressive 2.2 million on-chain tokens distributed across 2.5 million cryptocurrency liquidity pools. This comprehensive data is powered by GeckoTerminal, a CoinGecko product that monitors real-time crypto prices, trading activity, transactions, liquidity levels, and more, across a vast network of over 900 DEXs operating on 120+ blockchain networks, encompassing prominent platforms such as Uniswap, PancakeSwap, Orca, Curve, and Balancer.
Paid API subscribers gain immediate access to this valuable on-chain data through 20 newly added endpoints. Key data categories include cryptocurrency liquidity pools, token details identified by contract address, and OHLCV (Open, High, Low, Close, Volume) chart data:
