Stakin, a well-established platform providing staking solutions, has revealed that it will discontinue its involvement with the Agoric blockchain network. Starting October 1st, Stakin will no longer operate within the Agoric ecosystem. This decision, detailed in a recent announcement on social media, stems from a strategic realignment of its validator service offerings. Concurrently, Stakin is advising users who have delegated their stake to the platform to reassign their assets to other validators before the specified date.
Stakin Ends Agoric Support, Recommends Stake Redelegation by October 1
With the cessation of its Agoric blockchain operations scheduled for October 1st, Stakin is proactively adjusting its validator services across various blockchain networks. In light of this change, Stakin emphasizes the importance of delegators redelegating their stake to alternative validators prior to the deadline. Failure to redelegate in a timely manner may result in the cessation of reward generation for their staked assets, potentially impacting overall returns.
Missed Redelegation Could Halt Reward Accrual
Despite its departure, Stakin’s announcement conveyed appreciation for the Agoric community, expressing gratitude for the collaboration and support received. As Stakin transitions away from the Agoric blockchain, delegators are encouraged to explore and identify suitable staking alternatives. Delaying redelegation could prove costly, as stakes remaining on the Agoric blockchain will no longer generate rewards after the October deadline.
