Excitement is building for Pokémon Legends: Z-A, and potential details about the game are surfacing online. Early this year, alleged information made its way onto social media, hinting at significant gameplay features. In March, a user on 4chan posted a comprehensive list suggesting the arrival of Mega Evolutions in this addition to the core series, featuring detailed descriptions for each transformed monster. Although The Pokémon Company has only revealed a handful of these creatures, the officially revealed ones match what the leaker described, including details regarding their appearance and color schemes.

The original post, which has vanished from 4chan, is now available on platforms such as Reddit and X (formerly Twitter). While images accompanying these claims are scarce, the textual descriptions of Mega Evolutions like Dragonite, Victreebel, and Hawlucha have proven remarkably accurate. The leaker accurately described specific traits, such as Dragonite’s unique winged head design, Victreebel’s unusual pouch, and Hawlucha’s black and gold mask, long before their official unveiling. This level of detail, especially in accurately describing just a few Pokémon out of hundreds, makes the leak seem more believable.

While we won’t publish the complete list to avoid spoilers, here are a few notable Mega Evolutions and their descriptions, as shared by CENTRO Leaks on X:

Mega Clefable: Changes to Fairy/Flying type. It has a pom-pom shaped beret that transitions from pink to white at the top; the pom-pom looks like a curly cue. Its wings are huge and stretch out, featuring a gradient from pink at the top to yellow-green at the bottom.

Mega Greninja: Suspends itself upside down from a giant shuriken, becoming a darker shade.

Mega Feraligatr: It develops a large, red crocodile head extension at the base of its neck that can be raised and snapped or swung downward to protect its real head. The monster also has three red spikes on each arm and larger spikes running down its back.

Mega Delphox: Hovers while standing on her broom.

Mega Emboar: Mirrors a classic Chinese warrior. The flames surrounding its head grow significantly and become more ornate, enhanced by a black decoration trailing upward behind its head. It carries a spear crafted from pure fire, pointing skyward.

Mega Chesnaught: Receives a crown, alongside additional orange elements and shields.

Mega Chandelure: Converts into a fancier, two-tier chandelier. Each of the four or five curly shapes on the top tier now has a single large light protruding from the front, and the lower tier is decorated with eight smaller lights. The light on the monster’s head sports a decorative crown.

Mega Zygarde: Closely resembles Zygarde Complete, but the black armor around the head and neck is stripped away to reveal a green body with white hexagon patterns. The knees also feature black and white hexagon plates.

The sheer number of claimed Mega Evolutions – 26 in total – is greater than expected. Time will tell if these details are accurate. It’s worth remembering that numerous Pokémon games have experienced leaks, and Game Freak itself has faced several security incidents. The leak also features a good mix of popular starter Pokémon and some less-expected choices.

Now might be a great time to revisit older Pokémon games and test your luck in the in-game lottery. Furthermore, one can only hope that Malamar mega evolution will come with a unique evolution method, similar to it’s normal evolution that forces players to hold their Nintendo Switch upside down.
