Although Ready or Not debuted on PC in 2023, it only recently arrived on consoles this past July. However, the tactical shooter’s popularity hasn’t decreased in the slightest.
In just a few months, the game, known for sparking discussions, achieved a sales milestone that few likely anticipated.
Despite the release of many other noteworthy titles, this first-person shooter has impressively sold millions of copies since its console launch.
Ready or Not Is A Certified Console Hit With 3 Million Units Sold
According to a press release from VOID Interactive, Ready or Not has surpassed three million copies sold on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. When combined with its prior PC sales, the controversial title boasts over 13 million copies sold, a noteworthy figure for a first-person shooter outside the Call of Duty franchise.
Adding to this achievement, VOID Interactive is an independent studio without the support of a major publisher like Activision or Electronic Arts.
VOID Interactive previously reported two million console sales for Ready or Not on July 30, signifying that the game gained an additional million sales in just over a month.
In other news, a VR modification for the PC version is anticipated soon. For those interested in acquiring physical copies on consoles, their release is scheduled later this month, which should further boost sales.
If you’re still deciding about purchasing the game, our review praised it, noting that the developers didn’t solely depend on controversy for publicity. It states, “I’ll be returning to the PC version for most of my playtime, but that doesn’t change the fact that Ready or Not is currently the best tactical shooter available on consoles.”
Congratulations, VOID Interactive! Here’s hoping that, in addition to future updates, a sequel is in development as well.
