The gaming world experienced a week highlighted by a major title release. Actually, four titles hit the scene this week, an unexpected development. We trust that those gamers not immersed in a certain much-anticipated release will find enjoyment in witty humor, even if delivered by a blocky, digital persona. Time for a serious tone; it’s Friday and nonsensical statements are best avoided.

Here’s what the team anticipates playing this weekend:

Edwin
My weekend will involve some necessary tasks, but I might dedicate some time to Firefighting Simulator: Ignite. Despite the hype surrounding Borderlands 4, this fire simulation game launched this week. Whether I ultimately review it depends on my ability to cause a fire at my own fire station without using modifications.

Nic
Nic has retreated to a secluded garden, disguised as a leafy shrub-man, avoiding Adrian Edmondson, who is actively searching for him.

Jeremy
To avoid burn out, a break from Silksong is required this weekend. Its release coincides with a major life event: my wife and I are finalizing the purchase of a new home, creating incredible stress. However, my current craving for the Metroidvania genre might lead me to revisit Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth, a Record of Lodoss War adaptation similar to Symphony of the Night. I’m discovering it better suits my tastes than Silksong, a great game, but I find it frustrating.

Ollie
Silksong is all consuming.

James
I hoped to enjoy Borderlands 4, but after a few hours, the guns lack impact. Firing feels weak, like projecting cat litter using the wind. Therefore, I am diving back into Silksong.

Mark
I recently received a game code, which will take up much of my weekend. Any remaining leisure time will be spent with American Truck Simulator. After an NBA 2K phase that reignited my enthusiasm for transport, I have returned to this. And perhaps, five minutes with Cyberpunk.

And what will you, our valued reader, be playing this weekend?…
