The intergalactic war of Helldivers 2 continues with players on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S banding together. While the fight for Super Earth rages on, developers are still tackling in-game problems. Arrowhead Game Studios has deployed a fresh update for Helldivers 2, though this patch isn’t focused on any monumental changes.

Detailed notes for Helldivers 2 update 01.400.002 have been shared via Steam and Discord. The majority of fixes address crashing issues and audio anomalies. One particularly peculiar bug saw Helldivers spawning atop cave structures during reinforcement. Two improvements target Xbox users specifically, correcting the SDR color display and resolving an issue that prevented access to Helldivers user profiles.

Earlier in the month, Helldivers 2 released the “Into the Unjust” content drop, which added a wealth of fresh content. If Hive Lords are proving difficult, consider deploying nuclear ordnance – and plenty of it. Engaging them with less powerful options can be a real challenge. Helldivers 2 has also exceeded 500,000 concurrent players, perhaps due to increased engagement from Xbox Series X|S players.

Arrowhead’s CEO, Shams Jorjani, has observed that many Helldivers 2 players enjoy the game quietly, providing limited feedback for the development team. Nonetheless, the team has been actively releasing significant updates and smaller patches with the aim of optimizing game performance.
