A key factor driving this growth appears to be the ongoing shift of Bitcoin miners towards Artificial Intelligence (AI) and High-Performance Computing (HPC) applications.

Bitfarms (BITF) led the pack with a remarkable 138% increase during this period. This surge follows a positive market reassessment of their Panther Creek facility. Bitfarms recently announced a partnership with T5 Data Centers aimed at accelerating campus development.

Cipher Mining (CIFR) also saw significant gains, rising by 60%. This increase comes after the release of their August operational update on September 4th, which highlighted the addition of new operational capacity. CEO of Cipher Mining, Tyler Page, has indicated expectations for a substantial agreement by the end of 2025, a point he’s emphasized in various forums, including at the recent H.C. Wainwright banking conference in New York City.

Other notable performers include HIVE Digital (HIVE), Hut 8 (HUT), and IREN (IREN), with gains of 49%, 48%, and 45% respectively, during this bullish phase. These miners, actively expanding their operations and engaging in HPC initiatives, participated in the positive market momentum. HIVE’s August production update and continued infrastructure development remained a focal point throughout September.
