One particularly potent firearm, the San Saba Songbird pistol, is exclusively obtainable from a boss located in the northern reaches of Carcadia Burn. This boss is the formidable Rocken Roller.

Where to Find Rocken Roller in Borderlands 4
Rocken Roller resides in the Abandoned Augur Mine, specifically within an area named Trinket Crevass. This location is situated in the western part of the Ruined Sumplands, which falls under the Carcadia Burn region on Kairos. A straightforward route to the mine involves heading southwest from the Wildhorn’s Beard Safehouse, located in the northern section of the Ruined Sumplands.
The mine’s entrance is discreetly positioned at the base of a cliff, and it is more easily spotted from the north. Alternatively, you can reach the area from Moxxi’s Bar. Inside the mine, you will encounter several pangolin-type enemies. However, the path to Rocken Roller is relatively short and easily navigable.

Like many bosses in Borderlands 4, Rocken Roller boasts a selection of dedicated drops, making farming for specific items more efficient compared to other encounters. These potential rewards include very powerful weapons which can potentially down bosses in a single shot with stacked damage.

The AF1000 Repkit appears to be the most commonly dropped legendary item when farming Rocken Roller. Conversely, the San Saba Songbird seems to be a rarer drop, potentially requiring extended farming efforts to obtain.
This boss does not seem to drop any legendary class mods. No class mods were acquired in our testing.
Tips for Fighting Rocken Roller
Rocken Roller presents a unique challenge, as it is covered in Eridium crystals. These crystals must be destroyed before the boss can be damaged, and are more common after you defeat Vile Lictor.
Once broken, the crystals will float around Rocken Roller. Destroy the crystals before they reattach, otherwise the process must be repeated.
After eliminating the crystals, you can freely inflict damage to Rocken Roller’s health bar. Given the boss’s red health bar, incendiary weapons are particularly effective. Exercise caution when the boss initiates its rolling attack, as it can easily pin you against walls, causing knockdowns.
Rocken Roller will also hurl rocks, so be alert to dodge. Fortunately, if downed, you can rally a “second wind” with the numerous smaller pangolins present in the arena.
