Aiming for complete achievement mastery in
Hollow Knight: Silksong? Then you’ll need to understand the requirements for 100% completion.

Initially, the factors contributing to the 100% total may not be
immediately apparent. This figure becomes visible on your save file
following the creation of the Farsight item within
Bellhome, specifically
during Act 3.

To prevent unnecessary exploration, here’s a breakdown of the essential
components for achieving 100% completion, as well as the aspects that can
be safely disregarded. Fortunately, certain late-game challenges within
Pharloom are not mandatory.

Crests

Hollow Knight Silksong Witch Crest

Firstly,
acquiring all Crests is a must, with
one exclusively found in Act 3. While many Crests are
encountered through standard exploration, some are cleverly concealed.

Crest

Location

Hunter

Hornet starts her adventure with this Crest. However, you will need
the 2 upgrades from Eva in Weavnest Atla.

Beast

Found in the far east of the Hunter’s March.

Reaper

This can be found in the large chamber above Moorwing in Greymoor.

Wanderer

This Crest is found west of Bone Bottom, past the Ruined Chapel. Go
through the Wormways or use the Cling Grip to climb up.

Witch

This can be obtained by completing the infestation operation wish
from Yarnaby in Greymoor. However, you’ll need to have found the
Twisted Bud in Bilewater first.

Architect

This can be obtained by purchasing the Architect’s Key from the
Underworks when you have 25 total tools. You’ll find the crest in
the chamber above.

Shaman

This final Crest can be found by using Silk Soarin in the far right
of the Ruined Chapel. Follow the path and you’ll have your final
crest.

Hollow Knight Silksong's Best Early Tools

Acquiring all tools will likely consume a significant amount of time, given
the extensive tool collection within the game. Obtaining
all yellow, blue, and red tools is crucial for achieving
100%. However, certain tool augmentations are not essential. For example,
while purchasing the Curveclaw from
Hunter’s March is necessary, obtaining the Curvesickle upgrade
from Far Fields is not. Similarly, only one Silkshot variant is needed.

Furthermore, locating every Flea is paramount, as it
grants the Egg of Flealia tool and a
Pale Oil, both of which are indispensable. Similarly, gathering all Maps is vital due to their role in Shakra’s Quest, leading to the
acquisition of the Throwing Ring tool.

With numerous tools to discover, each contributes a single percentage point
to the overall completion score. Below is a directory listing each tool and
its location.
