A movement once considered a fringe concept is quickly establishing itself as a vital element of the global financial system, according to leaders from Binance, Revolut, and Circle (CRCL) who spoke at Consensus Miami on Wednesday.

“We have transitioned from a Prohibition-like environment,” remarked Rachel Conlan, Binance’s chief marketing officer. “Currently, we are focusing on building the necessary infrastructure.”

Conlan highlighted that cryptocurrency is advancing from mere trading to practical applications for daily life, asserting that it is “on its way to becoming an integral part of daily society.”

This transformation is increasingly evident in the consumer finance sector. Mazen ElJundi, global business head of investments at Revolut, indicated that the discussion around crypto is shifting from speculative to “real-world utility and growth.”

Revolut, which operates in over 40 countries and caters to more than 75 million customers, now incorporates cryptocurrencies into a comprehensive range of banking services, including remittances and the use of stablecoins. “Crypto represents banking without borders,” he explained.
