Litecoin [LTC] surged by more than 8% within 24 hours, reaching approximately $62 as enthusiasm among buyers returned to the broader cryptocurrency market.

This surge marks LTC’s highest valuation since June. However, the price range between $63.80 and $65 may be critical in determining if the upward trend persists or begins to fade.

Increased Litecoin Trading Volume

Recent market insights reveal that Litecoin ascended from below $57 to an intraday peak near $63.80 before retracting slightly.

The trading volume for the last 24 hours jumped by approximately 93%, exceeding $520 million. The rise in both volume and price suggests an influx of new traders into the market.

Litecoin’s surge was part of a broader upward trend, accompanied by Bitcoin, which saw an increase of 5.7%, surpassing $85,000, alongside various other major cryptocurrencies.

Litecoin has now successfully recovered from a low of $51.50 to its current price of $62, reflecting a nearly 20% increase since it bottomed out.

Will LTC Exceed $65?

Analysis of the daily chart indicates that Litecoin is now trading above previously obstructive levels.

It is also well above the recent average price levels, which ranged between $50-$55. This shift indicates a transition in the market perception, viewing this area as a new foundation to build on.

The upcoming challenge lies near the $63.80 mark, which represents today’s peak. Following that, $65 becomes a crucial target.

Achieving a daily close above $65 will not only confirm that buyers maintain their influence after this rise but could also signal the potential for a much larger increase.

If it fails to surpass this region, the rally may not immediately come to an end. LTC might merely retreat to the $58-60 range, still reflecting its recent achievements.

A significant drop below this zone could focus attention on the $54–$55 price region, where buyers might attempt to defend the breakout.

As of the time of the chart capture, the daily candle was still active. Thus, Litecoin’s final closing price will offer a clearer indication than its current intraday high.

Key Takeaways

  • Litecoin experienced an over 8% gain as its trading volume nearly doubled.
  • LTC encounters resistance near $63.80–$65, while the nearest support is located around $58–$60.
