The blockchain of Bitcoin has registered a significant on-chain activity, with a substantial liquidity amount involved. An influential investor has entirely drained his transit wallet, identified as “bc1qlnexsqagmk27ju9dmmvj47016…,” transferring 4,500 $BTC (valued at approximately $381.38 million) to a newly minted, pristine address, “bc1qpls5rs7z53avm0k6ohh40y301….”

According to data from Arkham Intelligence, the donor wallet—monitored by analysts over the years—now holds a balance of zero.

This transaction is particularly significant, not just for the amount involved but also for its background. Exactly four years prior, the same quantity of coins was received at this address, worth an estimated $187.38 million at that time. The wallet owner weathered a lengthy market downturn and overlooked Bitcoin’s all-time high in 2025, when the coins were valued at over $600 million, only moving the funds now, while Bitcoin stands at $84,070.

This four-year period of inactivity resulted in an unrealized profit of $194 million.

Four years of inactivity yielding double the profit: Analyzing a major investor’s transaction.

Transaction histories from Arkham illustrate the deep connections of this operation. The emptied wallet is tied to one of the earliest mining networks, collectively managing around 33,000 $BTC.

This entire stash is segmented into specific amounts of 4,500 coins per wallet, with the chain’s earliest transactions tracing back to 2010, a period when a small group of cypherpunks was developing the network and Bitcoin’s value was mere cents.

The transfer of such a large sum “in one click” to an unoccupied address without fragmentation temporarily alleviates pressure on the retail market. Notably, the whale did not redirect the coins to exchanges like Binance or Coinbase, meaning the spot market remained largely unaffected, continuing to enjoy a 3.6% weekly gain.

The crypto landscape may have recently observed a potentially strategic migration to new private keys or preparations for a significant private OTC transaction, which would bypass traditional exchange order books entirely.
