(Watch the video above for Frank’s detailed chart analysis.) The recent rebound of Bitcoin may signal the onset of a significant upward trend. Here are three reasons supporting this notion: 1. Bullish patterns are making a return. This summer, Bitcoin successfully leveraged a bullish pattern, resulting in a substantial surge in August. This is noteworthy because from late 2025 to early 2026, three prior bullish models failed to yield any real upward momentum. This behavior is typical of a declining market, where bullish signals fail to materialize. In contrast, consistent upward trends showcase successful bullish breakouts, where advances through resistance levels lead to further upward movement. Despite a significant rally since its summer lows, the shift in pattern behavior indicates that this could still represent the initial phases of a larger recovery. 2. The weekly chart mirrors the early stages of the 2023 rise. When looking at the broader timeframe, Bitcoin has developed a pattern throughout 2026 that closely resembles the transition from 2022 to 2023. During that period, Bitcoin broke resistance while key weekly moving averages began an upward trend. Moving averages that previously declined and acted as resistance then transitioned into support. This progression clearly indicates an asset shifting from a downtrend to an uptrend. Notably, the bullish breakout observed in early 2023 was just the start of a more extensive advance that continued into late 2025. Bitcoin is currently demonstrating comparable price movements. 3. The long-term uptrend is preserved, and momentum is strengthening. A close look at the long-term chart shows that Bitcoin’s latest resurgence began near a crucial rising trendline dating back to 2017. There have been three previous instances when Bitcoin retreated towards this trendline, followed by a significant rally in subsequent months. Simultaneously, the August rally resulted in an approximate 20% monthly increase. During periods of downward pressure on Bitcoin, similar increases have often been absent. After a prolonged time without a 20% monthly gain, this resurgence could signal a broader improvement in momentum beyond the immediate term.
