Markus posted a screenshot illustrating the recent market upswing, where most cryptocurrencies were in the green. He posed two questions accompanied by a mix of exclamation and question marks: “Is crypto making a comeback? Is the 2026 crisis finally behind us?” The latter inquiry reflects the prevailing uncertainty in the crypto sector following a challenging phase in 2026.

Since last October, cryptocurrencies have experienced months of bearish trends, particularly following a significant market crash that wiped out an unprecedented $19 billion.

Is Crypto Making a Comeback?

In the screenshot shared by Markus, various assets, including BTC, S&P 500, Ethereum, Solana, and Dogecoin, showed notable increases. Interestingly, these cryptocurrencies outpaced the S&P 500, which had a modest gain of just 0.21% during that period.

Traders in the financial markets are currently analyzing the latest Federal Open Market Committee minutes from July, which were released on Wednesday. These minutes appeared to provide limited support for bullish investors. While most officials preferred to keep interest rates steady during the Fed’s July meeting, some suggested an increase.

This context may have played a role in the slight gains seen in the S&P 500, especially with cryptocurrencies showing stronger performance. Such a backdrop could have prompted the Dogecoin co-founder to question whether crypto is indeed on the upswing.

The inquiries from the Dogecoin co-founder, “Is crypto making a comeback? Is the 2026 crisis finally behind us?” can only be adequately addressed if a sustained rally is observed in the cryptocurrency market in the weeks and months ahead.
