Robinhood, a prominent stock trading platform in the U.S., has incorporated $25 million worth of Bitcoin into its treasury assets.

According to Johann Kerbrat, Robinhood’s Vice President for crypto and global business, who made the announcement during the Digital Asset Summit Asia in Singapore on October 7, as reported by CoinDesk.

Kerbrat emphasized that this initiative highlights Robinhood’s commitment to the Bitcoin ecosystem. He noted that given Robinhood’s $100 billion market capitalization, the inclusion of $25 million in Bitcoin would not significantly impact the company’s overall growth path.

This development places Robinhood among publicly traded entities that utilize Bitcoin as part of their treasury holdings. Following Tesla’s adoption of a Bitcoin-centric treasury strategy in 2020, several other publicly listed companies, including Block, have similarly expanded their balance sheets with Bitcoin.

Additionally, Robinhood is actively advancing its cryptocurrency and blockchain operations. Earlier in July, the firm unveiled its own Layer 2 blockchain named Robinhood Chain. With a user base exceeding 28 million, Robinhood is well-acquainted with the crypto landscape, as reported by CoinDesk.
