Both XRP and Dogecoin have provided remarkable profits for early investors, but the numerical reality of transforming these coins into million-dollar fortunes by 2030 reveals some challenging requirements.

For investors looking toXRP (CRYPTO:XRP) or Dogecoin (CRYPTO:DOGE) to create a $1 million wealth by 2030, substantial price increases from current levels are necessary. XRP is valued at $1.30, which is 64.4% lower than its all-time high of $3.65 achieved on July 17, 2025. Dogecoin, on the other hand, is priced at $0.0769, marking an 89.5% drop from its peak of $0.73 on May 7, 2021.

Regrettably, both cryptocurrencieshave experienced difficulties this year, with XRP seeing declines of 18.8% in the past month and 29.1% for the year. Dogecoin has fallen 21.9% over the last month and 33.7% year-to-date. In the previous year, XRP was down by 49.8%, while Dogecoin dropped 60.5%.

Despite these setbacks, many retail investors still believe both cryptocurrencies could lead to millionaire status due to the significant returns seen by earlier adopters. Over the last ten years, XRP has skyrocketed by 15,275.6%, while Dogecoin has surged by an impressive 35,764.3%. So, which of these coins stands a better chance of helping an investment grow into a million dollars by 2030?

How Much XRP or Dogecoin is Needed for $1 Million by 2030

The table below outlines potential price targets for 2030 for both coins, along with how much investment would be necessary to achieve $1 million.

Coin Projected 2030 Price Coins Required for $1 Million Investment Needed at Current Price (October 25)
XRP $1 1,000,000 $1,300,000
XRP $3 333,333 $433,333
XRP $10 100,000 $130,000
Dogecoin $0.10 10,000,000 $768,900
Dogecoin $0.25 4,000,000 $307,560
Dogecoin $1 1,000,000 $76,890

The last column indicates the investment amount required today to potentially reach $1 million for each hypothetical target. At a price of $1, investing $1.3 million in XRP would result in a loss. For ambitious targets, such as XRP at $10 or Dogecoin at $1, the investments would be $130,000 and $76,890, respectively. This implies that achieving a million-dollar outcome from either coin appears challenging for the majority of investors.

Market capitalization, which is calculated by multiplying a coin’s price by its circulating supply, provides insight into these targets. XRP’s market capitalization stands at $82.3 billion, with 63.4 billion coins circulating, making it the fifth-largest cryptocurrency. If XRP were to reach $10, its market cap would skyrocket to over $633 billion. At $3, it would still hold a significant value exceeding $190 billion.

Nonetheless, XRP faces the risk of dilution. Its maximum supply is capped at 100 billion coins, with nearly all already in existence—only 63.4 billion are currently in circulation. Additional coins coming into circulation by 2030 could further complicate achieving a price of $10.

Conversely, Dogecoin does not have a supply cap, and new coins are created every time a block is mined. At present, its market capitalization is $12.0 billion with 156.5 billion coins in circulation, placing it at the 12th rank.

With a price of $0.25, Dogecoin’s market cap would surpass $39 billion, while hitting $1 would elevate it to over $156 billion. This suggests that for Dogecoin to return to its historical high, the price would need to be sustained across a larger supply than what was available during its peak.

XRP ETFs Have Attracted More Investment Than Dogecoin ETFs

Spot ETFs, which are exchange-traded funds that directly hold a cryptocurrency, can significantly enhance a coin’s appeal and value. U.S. spot XRP ETFs have attracted $1.80 billion in net inflows as of October 23, with $1.48 billion in net assets. Their largest single-day inflow in weeks was $22.6 million on September 25.

However, inflows have recently dwindled, with no net inflows recorded on October 23 and a $2.5 million outflow noted on October 16. Regardless, the case for holding XRP remains compelling due to its effectiveness in cross-border transactions and the tokenization of assets like bonds.

In contrast, Dogecoin ETFs have seen significantly less traction, recording only $15.1 million in total net inflows as of October 13, with $14.4 million in assets. These ETFs experienced outflows on both October 12 and 13.

In October, DogeOS was launched as a dedicated development initiative for the Dogecoin ecosystem. It is collaborating with the MyDoge wallet and Such App under Dogecoin Labs, which was announced on October 21. DogeOS aims to facilitate smart contracts for Dogecoin, allowing developers to create applications that focus on DOGE payments.

Nevertheless, this initiative is still in its infancy and has yet to release any usage metrics. Demand for Dogecoin will likely continue to be driven mostly by its status as a meme coin until developers engage more actively with DogeOS.

Will XRP or Dogecoin Create Millionaires by 2030?

It appears that XRP may have a better chance than Dogecoin in the quest to create millionaires by 2030, yet achieving a million-dollar outcome still seems improbable for the average investor in either cryptocurrency. XRP needs to increase by about 7.7 times to reach $10, while Dogecoin must rise approximately 13 times to hit $1. XRP also features a capped supply and over $1.8 billion in ETF inflows, in stark contrast to Dogecoin’s roughly $15 million.

For XRP, breaking above $1.84, where it began the year, is crucial, representing a 41.5% increase from its current price. Dogecoin, on the other hand, must return to $0.12, its starting price for the year, which equates to a 56.1% rise. If XRP surpasses $1.84 alongside increasing ETF inflows, it could indicate positive momentum moving forward.
