The outlook for Bitcoin $BTC$84,459.46 and the broader cryptocurrency market appears grim, with current valuations falling below essential thresholds, as noted by market analysts.

The leading cryptocurrency has dipped under the $80,000 mark, trailing its 50-day moving average, which indicates a short-term downturn.

Alex Kuptsikevich, the principal market analyst at FxPro, commented in an email, “Technical signals indicate that the declining trend is likely to persist, as the asset continues to fall below its 50-day moving average, and the resistance levels established in May and September have not provided sufficient support.”

Kuptsikevich’s viewpoint is echoed by others in the industry.

According to Secure Digital Markets in their daily report, “The critical support level is the $80,000 range—if that is breached, it may lead to a decline towards $75,000, and possibly towards $73,000.”

The Ontario-based firm highlighted that $BTC lingered between $80,000 and $86,000 for two weeks, while its 30-day price fluctuation narrowed from 13% down to 6%. This type of volatility compression often precedes a significant price movement, they noted.

Regarding volatility, options traders on the decentralized platform Derive expect some fluctuations around the Federal Reserve meeting scheduled for Wednesday, although nothing seems out of the ordinary.
