A crucial procedural step in the House of Representatives did not pass on Tuesday, preventing several pieces of proposed crypto legislation from reaching the floor for a vote.
This outcome represents a significant setback for the digital currency sector, which had anticipated a favorable series of legislative advancements this week, previously promoted as “Crypto Week.”
According to NBC News, the motion failed by a vote of 196 to 223, with 13 members of the Republican party joining Democrats in opposition.
