The popular mobile game, Monopoly Go, has launched a brand-new advertising campaign. This campaign evokes nostalgia for classic sitcoms and the spirited family conflicts often sparked by the original Monopoly board game. Titled “The Dice Life,” the ad series features a cast of well-known actors.

Leading the ensemble is Will Ferrell, lending his voice once again to the character of Mr. Monopoly in a series of short scenes that mimic the style and feel of 1990s television shows.

According to a report by The Drum, the “Dice Life” marketing effort is the brainchild of creative agency Omelet. They collaborated with Scopely, the developer behind Monopoly Go, to craft a tribute to the sitcoms of that era, complete with an original theme song heavily influenced by iconic 90s television tunes.

Viewers will recognize Jake Johnson (from “New Girl”) and Sunita Mani (known for “Glow”) in the advertisements. The short clips are designed to amplify the familiar drama that many experienced playing the traditional board game with their loved ones.

Monopoly Go has a full schedule this summer. The game recently announced its latest collaborative project with Marvel, tying in with the upcoming film, “The Fantastic Four: First Steps.” This crossover event, launching on July 13th, will integrate recognizable characters and locations from “The Fantastic Four” into the Monopoly Go universe.

This collaboration includes new mini-games, in-game activities, collectibles, and, naturally, a fresh Partners Event. In related news, gamers are eagerly awaiting details about the next Monopoly Go Treasures Event, following the previous one held at the end of June.
