The Summer Game Fest showcase delivered the news that many dedicated fans of Arc Raiders were eagerly anticipating. Following the conclusion of the second Technical Test in early May, enthusiastic participants have been looking forward to further gameplay opportunities.

The game’s advanced state of development, evidenced even in its early builds, prompted some individuals to advocate for an immediate official launch. While a full release wasn’t announced, gamers did receive exciting confirmation of the shooter’s release date.

Instead of another near-future beta test, fans will need a little more patience before revisiting Arc Raiders. This is especially true for countless individuals who didn’t secure access to Tech Test 2 and had to rely on watching others play – a situation that undoubtedly fueled their anticipation.

Good news for everyone: Embark Studios just revealed that Arc Raiders will launch on October 30, 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Expect a refreshed version built upon the foundation of Tech Test 2, although the extent of the changes will require hands-on experience to fully evaluate.

That being said, the game seemingly needed minimal adjustments, showcasing compelling character design, a satisfying gameplay loop, and a nostalgic vibe reminiscent of the early days of the original PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG).

Embark Studios has cultivated a positive rapport with Geoff Keighley. The initial unveiling of the extraction shooter occurred at The Game Awards in 2021, back when it was conceived as a cooperative shooter and before its current evolution.

The Finals, the studio’s debut project, made a surprise launch in December 2023 at the same event. This history increased the expectation for Arc Raiders updates at this year’s Summer Game Fest.
