After months of speculation, Electronic Arts has officially confirmed that the upcoming installment in its acclaimed multiplayer shooter series, often referred to as Battlefield 6 by fans, will indeed bear that very title.

While the announcement itself isn’t a major unveiling filled with extensive details, it does offer a couple of intriguing tidbits for eager gamers to consider.

The official Battlefield social media accounts have been buzzing with a brief animated visual confirming the Battlefield 6 name. More importantly, they’ve announced the date for the game’s official trailer reveal: Thursday, July 24th.

The YouTube trailer will premiere at 8am Pacific Time, 11am Eastern Time, and 4pm British Standard Time. The video’s thumbnail appears to showcase potential cover art, depicting the Brooklyn Bridge and what seems to be a New York City under duress.

A rendition of the iconic Battlefield theme song plays in the background, with an arrangement reminiscent of the scores from Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4. This aligns with the perceived “back-to-basics” design philosophy seemingly adopted for Battlefield 6.

While a specific release date remains unconfirmed, anticipation is high that tomorrow’s trailer reveal will include that pivotal piece of information, as well as a date for the previously announced open beta. Rumors suggest the beta will commence in the first week of August, meaning the wait is almost over.
