October Mining Income Reaches $1.215 Billion Despite Bitcoin Price Drop

In the face of challenges, including a 7.3% downturn in Bitcoin’s value during October, miners experienced their most profitable month since November 2025. Data from newhedge.io reveals that from October 1 to October 31, total mining revenue stood at $1.215 billion.

For comparison, November 2025 saw mining earnings reach $1.26 billion, with December 2025 trailing closely at around $1.20 billion. Generally, security breaches within cryptocurrency exchanges tend to destabilize market confidence, reduce liquidity, and undermine investor trust; however, such issues do not affect Bitcoin’s existing block issuance schedule.

The economics of mining exhibit a consistent cyclical trend: as hash prices decline, less efficient equipment is phased out, leading to subsequent adjustments in difficulty that help relieve economic strain. This allows the remaining miners to capture a bigger share of the block rewards.

The key issue for Bitcoin mining isn’t if the sector can endure another market downturn, but how much financial strain operators can tolerate before their business models become unviable. While October was a profitable month for Bitcoin miners, the outlook for November remains uncertain.
