Bitcoin has returned to positive trading, experiencing a notable price increase in the last 24 hours alongside a significant rebound in the overall cryptocurrency market.

With growing momentum, Bitcoin has climbed above the $81,000 mark again, yet the increasing reserves on Binance raise concerns about whether this rebound is supported by sufficient demand in the spot market.

Bitcoin reserves on Binance reach 702,900 $BTC

Recent on-chain data from the crypto analysis service CryptoQuant indicates that Bitcoin reserves on Binance, the largest crypto trading platform globally, have climbed to 702,900 $BTC as of September 19.

This latest figure for Bitcoin holdings on Binance represents the highest point reached in 2026, suggesting a bearish outlook despite the significant price recovery.

It’s essential to understand that this increase means more Bitcoin is currently stored on the exchange, which could potentially be put up for sale.

While elevated exchange reserves do not solely indicate that investors are gearing up to sell, they typically do not present a bullish perspective for the asset.

Whale activity on Binance remains consistent

Additional data reveals that the rise in Bitcoin reserves on Binance coincides with a consistent increase in daily net inflows to the exchange since late August.

Although this suggests that more supply is being directed to the exchange, the data does not link the growing Bitcoin availability with any significant sell-offs driven by whales.

Nonetheless, experts assert that buyers must absorb the increased supply flowing into the market via Binance to facilitate a sustainable price increase.
