Bitcoin has surged past the US$80,000 mark as the cryptocurrency market begins to stabilize after experiencing a period of intense selling. Other major cryptocurrencies such as Ethereum, Solana, XRP, and BNB have also shown significant increases.
Currently, Bitcoin is trading at approximately US$80,518, reflecting a rise of about 4.7% in the past 24 hours, while Ethereum has increased nearly 7%, reaching US$2,420.
BNB has gained roughly 3.6%, now at US$718, XRP has risen about 4% to US$1.30, and Solana has jumped over 4%, reaching US$95.75.
Dogecoin has also seen gains, trading around US$0.077, and Chainlink has increased by more than 5%.
Concerns Over ETF Withdrawals
This recovery occurs amidst ongoing withdrawals from cryptocurrency exchange-traded funds (ETFs) listed in the U.S.
On November 3, spot Bitcoin ETFs experienced net outflows nearing US$116 million, while Ethereum funds saw an additional drop of US$85 million.
In total, the outflow for cryptocurrency ETFs approached US$208 million during this period.
In the past three sessions, Bitcoin ETFs have reportedly experienced around US$1.16 billion in outflows, indicating a disconnect between rising spot prices and declining institutional investments.
Progress in Binance’s Recovery
Binance has also been in the spotlight following a significant US$6.34 billion security incident last week.
As of November 3, the exchange reported that 98% of the impacted token assets had been restored, with approximately US$2.85 billion in stolen assets either frozen or intercepted.
Binance has revamped its affected wallet infrastructure, replaced compromised devices, and enhanced internal access and behavioral monitoring systems.
The exchange assures users that they will not incur any financial losses from this incident.
Improving Market Sentiment
The overall market bounce-back has shifted cryptocurrency sentiment from a defensive outlook, as traders start to invest in higher-risk tokens following Bitcoin’s stabilization above the mid-US$70,000 range.
Zcash has emerged as a strong performer, with an increase of more than 7%, while numerous smaller altcoins reported double-digit gains.
Bitcoin is approaching a crucial technical resistance level between US$80,000 and US$82,000.
A sustained increase beyond this range could solidify the recovery, but ongoing ETF withdrawals pose a significant near-term threat to this momentum.
