As of Wednesday morning in Asia, Bitcoin experienced a 1.3% increase, climbing to just over $82,700 and lingering near the $83,000 threshold. This uptick followed robust earnings releases from SpaceX and Super Micro Computer, which reinvigorated interest in AI stocks and pushed technology shares upward across the Asian market.

ZEC emerged as a leader among major cryptocurrencies, surging 11% to around $1,260. This gain was spurred by the Zcash development team’s announcement regarding the mainnet activation height for the upcoming NU7 upgrade. The activation height denotes the block number at which all nodes will transition to the new regulations.

The NU7 upgrade will enhance the block interval from 75 seconds to 25 seconds, allowing for payment confirmations to happen three times faster. Additionally, it allocates 60% of transaction fees to a reserve fund, to be distributed over time. The upgrade has been operational on Zcash’s test network since early October.

BNB and SOL experienced increases between 1% and 2%, whereas TRX remained stable, as reported by CoinDesk.
