Anticipation is building to a fever pitch for the launch of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater later this month. The renowned video game series isn’t just popular in the United States or Japan; gamers in Brazil are showing their excitement too.

Brazilian fans have taken to Wplace, an online platform created by Murilo Matsubara, to showcase their artwork. Wplace gives users a shared digital canvas representing a world map where they can collaborate and create pixel art. This digital world is vast, offering a canvas of approximately four trillion pixels.

The subject of their artwork is the legendary soldier, Big Boss, also known as Snake.

Brazilian Artists Show Love for MGS Delta

Shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, these pixel art tributes from Brazilian artists beautifully depict Snake. Let’s see some examples, along with translations of the artists’ words.

The artist Kallus expressed (translated), “After losing a day’s worth of work to a rollback, I finally completed my John Venom Snake piece, located at BR-101 on Wplace.”

Another artwork, by Gkz, presents a more intense portrayal of Big Boss:

The artist shared, “Just a Metal Gear mural created at Wplace in Teresina. Let’s connect!”

These creations highlight the significant cultural impact of Konami’s acclaimed stealth-action series, extending far beyond the gaming sphere.

While Metal Gear Solid Delta is slated to launch on August 28, the multiplayer component, Fox Hunt, is scheduled for release in 2025. But Konami seems confident about the quality of MGS Delta, as the review embargo date has been set, signaling the publisher’s belief in the game.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is a reimagining of MGS3, built using Unreal Engine 5, offering enhanced gameplay, updated audio, and other exciting features.
