Carcadia Ablaze: Safehouse Down

In Borderlands 4, a helpful new feature called Safehouses allows for quick map navigation and provides designated spots to offload your hard-earned loot. Got your inventory packed with top-tier gear acquired from taking down tough bosses like Driller Hole? Head to a Safehouse to sell it all.

Each region in the game features multiple Safehouses to find and unlock. These spots aren’t just convenient for fast travel; unlocking them also grants you Storage Deck Upgrade (SDU) Tokens, which increase your inventory capacity. Knowing where to locate these Safehouses is therefore incredibly valuable.

This guide details the precise locations of every Safehouse within the Carcadia Burn zone of Borderlands 4.

Makeshift Chalet

Lopside

The Makeshift Chalet is the first Safehouse you can find in Carcadia Burn. Specifically, it’s situated in the Lopside area. Search the western edge of the Lopside section; you’ll find this Safehouse positioned right on the cliff’s edge.

An important note: this Safehouse is conveniently located near the Creep Impact World Event, making it easy to participate whenever the event is active. Plus, it’s close to one of the Carcadia Burn Vault Key Fragments.

Once you reach the Makeshift Chalet, you’ll need to find the datapad to activate the Safehouse. This essential item is located just off the western side of the Safehouse. Look for a ledge; peering over it, you’ll spot a path wrapping around the cliff to a small landing below.

Carefully jump down to this landing, where you’ll find the datapad resting on a box. Grab it, then return to the computer terminal in the main Safehouse area to claim the location.

The Lowrise

Tonnage Peel

The Lowrise is the second Safehouse found in Carcadia Burn. You’ll find it in the eastern portion of the Tonnage Peel area. Be aware that this area isn’t accessible until later in the main storyline, specifically when you’re on a mission to locate Zane.

Once you can access Tonnage Peel, make your way to The Lowrise to unlock it as a functional Safehouse. Be on alert, as this area is heavily populated by Rippers.

Using your grappling hook, climb the exterior walls of the Safehouse until you reach the main building. Once you’re on top, look for a small, separate platform extending from the main area, supported by a steel beam.

You’ll find the datapad on this isolated platform. Grab it, then interact with the console in the center of the Safehouse to gain access and claim the location.

Wildhorn’s Beard

Ruined Sumplands

The final Safehouse in Carcadia Burn is Wildhorn’s Beard, situated on an island just off the coast of the Ruined Sumplands region. This Safehouse is in a beneficial spot, granting easy access to the nearby Augur Mine and one of the game’s Ripper Drill Sites.

When you reach the northern portion of Carcadia Burn, make it a priority to visit this island and unlock the Safehouse. Once you’re there, follow the path that spirals upwards around the tall rock spire.

At the top of the spire, you’ll find a boat with the datapad onboard. Use the datapad at the Safehouse console to activate it and claim the location for your own.
