Cardano’s creator,
Charles Hoskinson, has revealed strategies aimed at forging alliances with prominent platforms, notably
Aave,
Chainlink, and
World Liberty Financial’s
USD1 stablecoin.

During an “Ask Me Anything” (AMA)
session held on August 31, Hoskinson emphasized that these integrations are vital for enhancing Cardano’s overall ecosystem and guaranteeing its position as a competitive blockchain.

He stated:

“My interest lies in incorporating USD-1, Aave, and Chainlink. We are currently exploring the implications and the optimal method for achieving this integration.”

Why these partnerships matter for Cardano

USD1 represents the stablecoin initiative brought forth by World Liberty Financial, a DeFi venture supported by former U.S. President Donald Trump.

Despite its recent introduction, this asset has rapidly become the
sixth-largest stablecoin in terms of market capitalization, with significant institutional backing through agreements with Binance and Bullish exchange.

Consequently, this integration could inject much-needed liquidity and enhance the reputation of
Cardano’s stablecoin and DeFi environments, which have been struggling.

Meanwhile, Aave stands as the premier decentralized lending protocol, holding almost $40 billion in total locked value. Its incorporation has the potential to reshape Cardano’s less-developed lending ecosystem, providing innovative options for both users and developers.

Chainlink delivers another essential element. The oracle network
links blockchains to real-world information, ensuring that smart contracts are executed in a secure and reliable manner.

Hoskinson emphasized that the absence of Chainlink support has already negatively affected Cardano’s standing. He gave the example of the U.S. Department of Commerce, which opted to exclude Cardano when
disseminating economic data feeds because it lacked Chainlink and Pyth integrations.

Given these circumstances, he commented:

“It is becoming more challenging due to increased competition, and it frustrates me that obvious actions, such as integrations with other ecosystems, are not being taken, resulting in us being overlooked.”
