This book faithfully presents all nine chapters from the original game, accompanied by beautifully rendered, full-page illustrations. It’s worth noting that while the new Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 collection for Switch and Switch 2 features an updated chapter, it won’t be included in this edition of the book.

The Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 collection is arriving on October 2nd, available both as a physical release and digitally for Nintendo Switch and the upcoming Switch 2. The physical version will be compatible with original Switch consoles, and a free upgrade to the Switch 2 edition will be offered. Expect the collection to be rendered in stunning 4K resolution on Switch 2. Both games will feature both classic button/stick configurations and motion control options. You can secure your preorder for the collection at Amazon for $70, at Walmart, and at most other major retailers. Be sure to consult our comprehensive preorder guide for Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 to discover every detail.
Furthermore, Nintendo is introducing its inaugural Super Mario Galaxy Amiibo figures, featuring Mario alongside Luma and Rosalina accompanied by Lumas. Each of these new Amiibo figures is available for preorder at $40, slated for release on April 2, 2026. This considerable wait for the Amiibo is likely intentional, aligning with the theatrical premiere of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie in April 2026.
