Law enforcement officers dispersed a large group involved in and watching a street takeover close to Crypto.com Arena, located in the heart of Los Angeles.
LOS ANGELES CITY CENTER (KABC) — Authorities have confirmed that no individuals were apprehended, and no tickets were issued, following the shutdown of an unauthorized street gathering in the vicinity of Crypto.com Arena in downtown Los Angeles during the early hours of Saturday.
The Los Angeles Police Department’s press office stated that police units arrived at the intersection of Figueroa Street and 12th Street at approximately 2:50 AM.
Law enforcement reported that somewhere around 40 to 50 cars were performing dangerous stunts, described as “donut maneuvers,” in the street, while onlookers set off prohibited pyrotechnics.
Footage captured at the scene suggests that the incident resulted in damage, with at least a pair of windows broken at The Team LA store situated within Crypto.com Arena.
