In the pivotal elections ahead, Stand With Crypto has released a survey highlighting the views of cryptocurrency-owning voters in key battleground states. Published on Thursday, the findings indicate that neither the Republican nor Democratic parties have secured a clear majority in favor of their stance on the crypto industry. However, Republicans are seen more favorably, with a 45% to 26% preference among respondents, according to a recent study by Impact Research conducted last month.

The survey, which carries a margin of error of 4.4%, shows that crypto supporters are highly motivated to participate in the upcoming elections, with 64% of crypto holders expressing a strong interest in backing candidates who advocate for pro-crypto policies.

The results of these midterm elections could have significant implications for the cryptocurrency sector. Even if Congress manages to pass the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act prior to the general elections in November, several legislative challenges for the crypto community would still remain. These include the need to reform the U.S. tax system for digital currencies and to create a strategic bitcoin reserve as directed by former President Donald Trump. Nevertheless, it is anticipated that Democrats will control at least one chamber of Congress, potentially putting crypto-related issues lower on their priority list compared to previous Republican attention.

According to prediction market firm Kalshi, the likelihood of Democrats maintaining a majority in the House stands at over 84%. Meanwhile, the odds of Democrats securing a majority in the Senate are considered much more uncertain, akin to a coin flip.
