In the last 24 hours, Bitcoin has dropped by 1.2%, while Ethereum has seen a decline of 1.1%. Other significant altcoins have also faced corrections of up to 2.2%, with XRP, Solana, Hyperliquid, Dogecoin, and Cardano among them. Conversely, BNB and Tron have shown slight gains of 0.1% and 0.2%, respectively.
Riya Sehgal, a Research Analyst at Delta Exchange, stated that this market pullback is attributed to macroeconomic factors, decreasing institutional investment, and leveraged positions. On Thursday, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs experienced net outflows totaling approximately $636 million, while Ether ETFs faced a reduction of around $111 million, indicating a decline in near-term institutional interest, added Sehgal.

The overall crypto market capitalization saw a decline of 0.8%, slipping to $2.80 trillion, as reported by Coinmarketcap.
Over the past week, Bitcoin has decreased by 0.8% and Ethereum by 1.8%. Notable altcoins, including XRP, Solana, Tron, Dogecoin, Hyperliquid, and Cardano, have corrected by up to 5.7%. Conversely, BNB experienced an uptick of 2.5%. Nischal Shetty, the Founder of WazirX, remarked that the cryptocurrency markets faced a turbulent week, where initial recoveries were followed by renewed selling pressure. Bitcoin was priced around $83,460 on October 22 but has since fallen to approximately $81,198 in the latest assessment.
“Ethereum weakened from around $2,452 to $2,388, dipping below the crucial $2,400 threshold, with this downturn aligning with weaknesses in U.S. equities,” Shetty elaborated.
Looking ahead to next week, Shetty noted that the focus will shift to energy prices and ETF movements. Persistently high oil prices may complicate inflation expectations and create additional challenges for hopes of monetary easing.
