After much anticipation, the WLFI token, supported by Donald Trump’s organization World Liberty Financial, commenced trading early Monday. Despite the launch, some ambiguities persist regarding the timing of token releases, the exchanges listing the token, and distinguishing the genuine WLFI from numerous fraudulent copies.
What is WLFI?
WLFI serves as the core token for World Liberty Financial, a decentralized finance (DeFi) initiative established in 2024. While its exact purpose remains open to interpretation, the project aims to create a link between conventional finance and DeFi technologies. As the platform’s governance token, WLFI grants holders the ability to participate in voting on key protocols and strategic decisions.
On Monday, the project officially announced the launch of WLFI, with a total of 24.66 billion tokens distributed as follows:
-
10 billion allocated to World Liberty Financial Inc.
-
7.78 billion designated for Alt5 Sigma Corporation, an enterprise blockchain firm.
-
2.88 billion intended for liquidity provision and marketing endeavors.
-
Slightly above 4 billion available for the general public.

Which Platforms Offer WLFI Trading at Launch?
Binance became the primary major exchange to incorporate WLFI, providing trading pairs with USDC and USDT. Bybit, Bitget, and KuCoin have also activated trading for the token.
In a separate announcement, Coinbase confirmed its support for WLFI on the Ethereum network, specifying that trading will commence upon the achievement of sufficient liquidity.
How to Avoid WLFI Scams
Concurrently with the excitement, numerous WLFI-related scams have emerged. The analytics company Bubblemaps discovered “bundled clones,” which are deceptive smart contracts designed to mimic legitimate cryptocurrency initiatives. Using an incorrect contract address carries the risk of permanent fund loss.

Below are the accurate WLFI smart contract addresses for the corresponding blockchain networks:
-
Ethereum: 0xdA5e1988097297dCdc1f90D4dFE7909e847CBeF6
-
BNB Smart Chain: 0x47474747477b199288bF72a1D702f7Fe0Fb1DEeA
-
Solana: WLFinEv6ypjkczcS83FZqFpgFZYwQXutRbxGe7oC16g
A considerable number of cryptocurrency scams are initiated via social media platforms, with X being a common target. Trust only official WLFI token updates originating from the verified “worldlibertyfi” account on X.

Initial Market Fluctuations
With an initial circulating supply of approximately 24.66 billion tokens, WLFI debuted with a market capitalization of $6.4 billion, according to CoinMarketCap. Trading activity increased rapidly, pushing the token’s value by 14% to $0.26.
As typical with many cryptocurrency launches, the price movement of WLFI reflects a blend of speculative interest, restricted liquidity, and uncertainty surrounding its long-term adoption – factors that can contribute to significant volatility early on.
