FromSoftware has revealed the arrival date for Duo Expeditions in Elden Ring Nightreign. This feature, essentially delivering dedicated two-player cooperative gameplay, expands upon the game’s original multiplayer options. While the developers promptly introduced enhancements for solo adventurers after launch, cooperative experiences were previously limited to three participants.

The reason for the slight delay in implementing two-player co-op remains undisclosed. However, it is scheduled to launch as part of the next significant game update.

Nightreign’s upcoming patch, version 1.02, is slated for release on Wednesday, July 30th. While Duo Expeditions takes center stage, the update promises a variety of improvements. FromSoftware has indicated that several enhancements focused on quality of life will also be included.

The studio specifically highlighted an improvement concerning Relic management. The update will introduce expanded filtering options, designed to simplify the process of sorting through the vast collection of Relics players have acquired during their adventures.

These additions are timely and valued, especially considering Nightreign’s impressive sales figures, exceeding 5 million units, as recently confirmed by the development team.

The arrival of this update is also perfectly timed, preceding the next Everdark Sovereign cycle by just one day. This upcoming cycle will feature enhanced, challenging versions of the Nightlords: Tricephalos, Augur, Equilibrious Beast, and Fissure in the Fog.

In recent weeks, players have faced the Everdark Sovereign iterations of Nightlord bosses such as Gaping Jaws, Darkdrift Knight, and Sentient Pest. And, for those seeking guidance, we’ve created a helpful resource detailing all map events in Nightreign and their associated rewards.
