Gamers anticipating the arrival of Duo Expeditions in Elden Ring Nightreign are going to have to wait a little longer. FromSoftware had previously announced that the feature, which many players have eagerly awaited for months, was slated to launch with the next game update.

Update 1.02, originally scheduled for release today, July 30th, has been postponed, and the reason is understandable.

Just hours before the planned server downtime required to deploy Nightreign with the patch, FromSoftware communicated a delay to the substantial 1.02 update via their official X (formerly Twitter) account.

This decision stems from a tsunami advisory that was issued in Japan as a result of the earthquake near the Kamchatka Peninsula. The good news is that it is only a short postponement; the patch is expected to be available tomorrow, July 31st, around the same time.

The delay also affects the commencement of the subsequent Everdark Sovereign cycle, which introduces more challenging variations of Nightlord bosses such as Gaping Jaws, Darkdrift Knight, and Sentient Pest. Player will have to practice patience. Here’s hoping everyone at the development studio is safe and sound.
