Musk asserted that X Chat will avoid features that analyze user communications for ad placement. He cited WhatsApp as a prime example of a service that customizes advertisements based on user messages.

This practice, he cautioned, could endanger user privacy, potentially exposing sensitive information if the system were breached.

While Meta, the parent company of WhatsApp, claims that the Signal Protocol secures its messaging, it also concedes that certain data, particularly metadata, remains unencrypted. Furthermore, chat backups are not automatically protected unless users opt for encryption.

Musk highlighted that X Chat is structured without such data-sharing mechanisms, allowing users to send messages, conduct voice and video calls, and share files in a completely secure environment.

Just a few days earlier, on October 27, Musk introduced Grokipedia, a digital encyclopedia. To learn more about this initiative, click here.
