After being exclusively available on PlayStation for several years, Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade is slated to arrive on Xbox Series X|S and the anticipated Switch 2 in early 2026. The game presents a worthwhile challenge, blending real-time action with RPG elements. However, for players wanting a less demanding experience, focusing on narrative rather than intense combat, the “Streamlined Progression” option is available.

This mode takes the ease of play further than the classic combat style, which pauses the action for menu-driven commands, providing a substantial window for strategic decision-making. “Streamlined Progression” grants players unlimited HP and MP, perpetually full Limit and ATB gauges, and a massive 9,999 damage output for every attack.

Furthermore, weapon ability charging is accelerated, and players generally have a maximum inventory of items (with a few exceptions). The mode can be activated or deactivated at any point via the main menu.

Sephiroth won’t be smiling for long.

Square Enix has also unveiled a selection of preorder incentives for the upcoming launch of Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade on new gaming systems. Those who digitally preorder the game will receive a downloadable version of the original Final Fantasy 7. This offer is valid until January 31, 2026. Furthermore, preordering the physical edition includes a Magic: The Gathering Final Fantasy Play Booster pack containing 15 cards.

While a definitive launch date is still pending, Square Enix has confirmed that Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is also scheduled for release on Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S platforms in the future. Regarding the trilogy’s final installment, producer Tetsuya Nomura indicated that Square Enix has finalized the date for its official reveal.

While the wait may be considerable, players seeking JRPG experiences can look forward to titles like Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles, Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake, and Octopath Traveler 0.
