As of September 27, 2026, XRP (CRYPTO:XRP) has climbed roughly 42% to $1.53. For investors who missed the recent rise, the pressing question is whether it’s still a good time to invest in XRP or if the opportunity has passed.

Three Key Days Brought Most of XRP’s 42% Rise

The strong upward movement in XRP was primarily fueled by a few pivotal days in August. The token ended at $1.00 on August 18, just a day prior to Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse’s meeting with President Trump, SEC Chair Paul Atkins, and CFTC Chair Mike Selig at the White House. Following this meeting, Trump urged Congress on August 20 to advance the Clarity Act, aimed at creating clearer regulations for U.S. cryptocurrency markets. This announcement propelled XRP to $1.46 by August 22 and briefly to $1.70 on the same day.

Since then, price growth has moderated, with XRP increasing by about 10% in the past month, compared to a striking 46% gain over the last three months. The Senate halted the Clarity Act on September 15, which caused XRP to dip to $1.28 that day before rebounding.

For new investors, this slower price movement could be beneficial, as gradual increases generally provide a more stable entry point than rapid surges that may lead to sharp corrections.

Despite Recent Gains, XRP is Down 17% in 2026
