I’m an independent investor focused on deep value opportunities, managing a personal portfolio roughly split equally between stock holdings and call options. With a background in aeronautical engineering (B.Sc.) and over six years as an aerospace engineering consultant, my investment approach is quite contrarian, venturing into high-risk and often thinly traded options. Liquidity can be an issue! I also maintain a share portfolio, in part to satisfy my more conventional investor acquaintances. My usual investment horizon spans from three to twenty-four months.
I favor stocks that have recently declined in value because of temporary setbacks, especially when company insiders are buying shares at these reduced prices. My research process involves screening numerous stocks, primarily in the United States, although I might consider holdings in other regions. I use fundamental analysis to assess the financial stability of companies that meet my initial criteria, examining their debt levels and comparing their financial metrics against sector and industry standards. Moreover, I conduct thorough background checks on insiders who have purchased shares after a recent downturn.
To refine my entry and exit points, I utilize technical analysis, focusing mainly on multi-colored support and resistance lines on weekly charts. I occasionally draw trend lines, presented in a variety of colors. I aim to provide a genuine and straightforward introduction. I dislike jargon, inflated claims, and self-important introductions. Thanks for taking the time to read!
