Jordi Visser emphasized the importance of AI agents in accelerating the growth of cryptocurrencies.

  • Visser described the current state of cryptocurrency as a “Micron moment,” predicting significant increases in token volumes due to factors like tokenization, stablecoin transactions, and AI mechanisms.
  • While Visser anticipated that Micron could see its stock value double or even triple, the reality was a remarkable 14-fold increase driven by earnings growth.
  • He pointed out that tokenization would provide institutional investors with greater access to the crypto market.

Jordi Visser, an experienced figure on Wall Street, stated that crypto has reached its “Micron moment.” This term refers to a rapid repricing exceeding investors’ expectations, similar to the trend observed with Micron (MU) shares. He noted that token volumes are projected to elevate significantly.

On Anthony Pompliano’s show, Visser mentioned that the term stemmed from his experiences trading Micron. “I predict the chipmaker’s stock will at least double or triple,” he asserted, noting that it actually surged 14 times due to its earnings performance.

“In a year, all financial advisors will face tough questions. Clients will begin to hear about the significant profits being made in crypto, and the buzz around it will grow,” Visser stated. He also added that “stock tokenization is definitely on the horizon.”

AI Agents Propel Token Growth

The seasoned macro investor expressed confidence that token volumes would increase due to tokenization, stablecoin use, and the impact of AI agents. He highlighted the latter as a crucial element. “Without the influence of AI agents to streamline this process, I wouldn’t have such a positive outlook,” he remarked.

He noted that institutional investors are eager to gain exposure to crypto but currently face limited options, such as exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and a select number of publicly traded companies. “It remains a challenge, but there is a strong desire to participate,” Visser explained. He added that tokenization would enhance available investment avenues.

Visser’s references to Micron’s performance underscore his use of it as a benchmark. The company reported a record fiscal fourth-quarter revenue of $54.23 billion, reflecting a staggering 379% increase from the previous year.

MU stock saw a decline of over 2% last Friday. On Stocktwits, the retail sentiment surrounding Micron is categorized as ‘extremely bullish,’ with discussions at ‘very high’ levels over the last 24 hours.

Visser’s Transition to Bitcoin

Earlier this year, Visser disclosed that he had profited nearly eightfold on his Micron investments before selling all his shares and remarked that the lucrative opportunities in AI had dwindled, prompting a shift in retail investment towards other assets.

Since then, his outlook on Bitcoin (BTC) has become notably more positive. In early September, Visser stated that Bitcoin is now among a select few assets that adapt and endure through various transformative changes, asserting that “only a handful of things withstand the disruptions in technology and society: religion, gold, and now Bitcoin.“

Recently, Bitcoin’s price surpassed $85,000, showing an increase of over 0.5% in the past 24 hours. However, on Stocktwits, the retail sentiment concerning Bitcoin remains in the ‘bearish’ category, and discussions have decreased from ‘normal’ to ‘low’ levels recently.
