Jump Space is gearing up for its early access debut, preparing to launch from its development hub. Keepsake Games has revealed the pricing structure for Jump Space and outlined their development roadmap stretching into 2026, ahead of its release later this month.

Keepsake Games announced via Bluesky that Jump Space will be available in early access for $20 on both Xbox Series X|S and PC starting September 19th. The initial early access launch will feature “Chapter 1: The Resistance Coalition,” with “Chapter 2: Atira Strikes Back” planned for release by early 2026. In the intervening period, Keepsake intends to implement a series of updates, including text-based chat, vendors within the hangar, a revised ship shield system, melee weaponry, an expanded storyline, new mission content, a photo mode, and various other enhancements.

The planned update schedule for Jump Space.

“Chapter 3: Secrets of the Telmari,” expected in the first quarter of 2026, is slated to introduce a first-person perspective option, additional explorable sectors, an improved scanner system, voice communication capabilities, new enemy types, and a ground-based boss encounter. Chapter 4, tentatively titled “Heart of Corruption,” is in the works and planned before the game’s departure from early access. However, no specific release date or further details have been announced for this final chapter.

Formerly known as Jump Ship, the game’s title was changed due to trademark concerns. Jump Space is a collaborative multiplayer game designed for up to four players, casting them as the crew of a spacecraft who must manage and repair their shared vessel. The gameplay shares similarities with titles like Left 4 Dead and Sea of Thieves, but adds a science fiction twist, including planetary expeditions and spacewalks. Players will face perils throughout the galaxy in both ground encounters and during ship-based combat. The focus is on cooperative gameplay (PvE) rather than player versus player competition (PvP).

Keepsake Games has previously stated that Jump Space will feature a series of “handcrafted missions with random elements” to ensure replayability. Over 1 million players have added Jump Space to their Steam wishlists. Initially, the game will be exclusively available on Xbox Series X|S and PC platforms.
